Free Introductory Phone Call

Getting-You-Started Service
At Family Navigator for Seniors, we understand that the process of finding suitable senior care solutions can be overwhelming for those who are just beginning to explore their options. That's why we offer our Getting-You-Started Service as the perfect starting point.
During this in person visit, our experienced professional will get to know you and your loved one’s unique situation. We'll listen to your concerns, answer questions, and provide a high-level overview of the senior care landscape. In addition, we will assess your loved one’s current living environment, care requirements, and preferences, as well as an in-depth discussion on the most appropriate care options and living arrangements.
We will give you an overview of various care options available and identify sources for government funded assistance and community support services. We will help you understand the distinctions between home care services, retirement residences, and long term care and help you understand the different types of care providers and their qualifications. With this service, you'll be more knowledgeable and able to accelerate the process of finding the best care solutions.
Retirement Home Package
For those who would like to further explore Retirement Home options, our Retirement Home Package offers you all the support, guidance and expertise you will need in making the best choice. Built on the foundation of our Getting-You-Started Service this package includes:
Retirement Home Tours: We will research, recommend and accompany you on tours of up to 3 retirement homes that meet your loved one’s specific needs.
Advice on Special Requirements: Our professional advice includes identifying and recommending appropriate dementia / memory care or assisted living residences and other special needs.
Moving Coordination: We will make recommendations for senior-specific moving solutions and insight into the best options for creating a 'home-like feel' within your suite.
Follow Up: We will be there every step of the way to support you even after your loved one has moved into a retirement home to ensure that you are well educated with all the support and services available to you and your loved one.
Long Term Care Package
In some situations, due to budget constraints and care requirements, a government subsidized long term care solution is needed. Long Term Care homes are typically for people that need 24/7 nursing care.
Built on the foundation of the Getting-You-Started Service, this package includes research and recommendations on Long Term Care homes. Once we have completed our research, we will provide you with a detailed written overview of five recommended Long Term Care homes. This overview will include important information about each home such as the amenities they offer, the type of care they provide, their location, and any other relevant details that may be of interest to you. Additionally, we will include any available recent government inspection reports on these homes so that you can make an informed decision.
Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some Long Term Care homes in Ontario may not be offering tours at this time. However, we will do our best to provide you with as much information as possible so that you can make a well-informed decision for your loved one.
Additional Services

Solutions for everyday living, such as recommending and coordinating meal service and grocery delivery, technology support, and/or accompaniment on medical appointments.
